The heart-rending documentary is about 15-year-old Darius Weems, an African-American, wheelchair-user, with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, who has never left Georgia. To rectify this, friends from a grassroots organization called Project Reach pile into a wheelchair accessible RV with Darius and embark on a cross-country trip from Athens, Georgia to California, hoping to convince the MTV network’s Pimp My Ride series to file them.
