This is a genuine hand-tinted print, roughly 150 years old! It was donated for this event by our late colleague, Loudoun ENDependence Director Bill Ward. Beautifully framed in wood with a colonial blue matting. Actually two prints in one. The top is “Capture of the British Steamer ‘Anne,’ laden with arms and munitions of war for the Confederates, by the United States gunboat ‘Kanawha,’ Acting Master Partridge, from under the guns of Fort Morgan, Mobile, June 29th, 1962.” The lower print is from our region: “Commissariat depot of the United States Army of the Rappahannock at Manassas, VA – From a sketch by our special artist, Mr. Edwin Forbes.”
