Workstations

Throughout the Center ECNV uses workstations that use a combination of both a 39" wall height and a 67" wall height for our workstations. Wherever possible we used the 39&" wall height so that a strong, visual connection between activity taking place throughout the Center is maintained, and that connection is available equally to individuals who use a wheelchair and individuals who ambulate. This connected-ness also serves to integrate the diverse service needs of individuals with disabilities that we serve. Oftentimes for instance, ECNV participants have diverse (but interdependent) needs such as housing, personal assistance, employment and assistive technology. The staff expertise to meet these needs may be distributed among several ECNV staff, and the open, modular workspace approach allows for the more immediate cross-pollination of ideas and strategies that create integrated, independent living options.

All workstations are standard industry products, but you'll notice that each workstation is just a little different based on each employee's ergonomic or accessibility need. Together, however, the workstations blend quite well to provide an aesthetic that is as appealing to the eye as it is functional. ECNV regards this aesthetic to be an important consideration for businesses that naturally want to always look their best for their customers. At the same time, ours is a highly accessible workplace environment.
