ECNV Provides COVID Vaccines to Muslim Community

By Rosalia Fajardo, Director, Multicultural Families

Saba Batool was our host for a pop-up clinic in Springfield, VA on Saturday February 5th. We were able to vaccinate several people from the Muslim community and it was a very festive atmosphere with food, a bit of dancing, and lots of personal stories. ECNV was also able to provide Saba a manual wheelchair that was in excellent condition to replace her old wheelchair that wasn’t fully working anymore as part of ECNV’s Durable Medical Equipment exchange program. We were also able to provide cloth masks and other Durable Medical Equipment as well.

In Saba’s own words:

“I’m very thankful to you and the ECNV team for helping us vaccinate our family and friends at our pop-up event. It was a wonderful day! Everyone was extremely kind and nice. We had a great time eating wonderful food and everyone was happy like a party! We are very thankful ECNV came to my home and helped us vaccinate the Muslim community.”
