Navigating Housing Options in Northern Virginia

Alexa Mavroidis - Peer Counselor / Advocate from the ENDependence Center of Northern Virginia (ECNV), and Tracee Garner, Peer Counselor / Outreach Coordinator from Loudoun ENDependence, will share information regarding how to navigate the various housing programs and options available in Northern Virginia. We will cover qualifications, required documents, income restrictions and more, as well as some new eligibility programs rolled out under COVID-19.
About the Presenters:
Tracee Garner is a Peer Mentor and Outreach Coordinator for Loudoun ENDependence (LEND) in Leesburg, VA which is a satellite office of the ENDependence Center of Northern Virginia. Tracee manages a caseload of consumers with disabilities, works on housing, transportation, Social Security benefits assistance programs, and numerous advocacy issues for residents with disabilities in the county.
is a lifelong resident of Arlington County. She has worked as a peer mentor at ENDependence Center of Northern Virginia since the summer of 2009, assisting people with disabilities in Northern Virginia to become more independent, including assisting them to find housing in the area and to move into the community from nursing homes and other institutional settings. She also serves on several local commissions related to disability community needs and accessible transportation.
