On October 15, 2022 ENCV was a sponsor for a Community Health Fair and Fall Festival at Willston Multicultural Center in Falls Church. This was a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration to support the Latino Medical Student Association at Georgetown University School of Medicine partnering with Fairfax County and National Hispanic Medical Association. With generous support from Dr. Sergio Rimola an ObGyn physician, Northern Virginia Latino leader and ECNV Board member ECNV was a sponsor for the fair with more than 20 participating agencies.
Nino’s de Maria Foundation, grantee of the stronger 2 program sponsored by Fairfax County Health Department, and more than 20 others health and community agencies provided cholesterol, glucose, vision hearing HIV testing.
In total, 38 people received COVID-19 vaccinations. More than 300 Latinos and other community members were helped at the fair that disseminated health information and entertainment for the whole family.
