VACIL Legislative Series

Hello VACIL Advocates and Friends,

Our region remains firmly in a deep freeze this week—and forecasts are already watching another potential weekend snow system. In other words: winter is not quite done with us yet ❄️😉.

No matter what the weather decides to do, ECNV + VACIL has you covered.

Below is our invitation to join disability advocates across the state of Virginia for the upcoming VACIL Legislative Advocacy Webinars, focused on disability issues before the Virginia General Assembly.

📄 Legislative Tracking Sheet
To support informed advocacy throughout the session, Maureen Hollowell has created a legislative tracking sheet outlining the bills and legislation VACIL will be monitoring during the General Assembly. This resource will be referenced during the webinars and is a helpful way to stay current—even if you can’t attend every meeting live.

🌨 Couldn’t make Independent Living Day this Wednesday in Richmond?
No worries—while we’ll miss seeing you in person, you can still stay involved, informed, and engaged in legislative and General Assembly activity through these webinars. Think of them as advocacy that doesn’t require navigating icy sidewalks or uncertain forecasts

Whether you’re joining us from the Capitol, your office, or your couch with a warm drink, we hope you’ll plug in and stay connected.

Stay safe, stay warm, and stay engaged—
VACIL

Because advocacy doesn’t freeze—even when the weather does.
