Through lectures, group discussions, worksheets, tutorials, case studies, and role play, this class will help you learn how to be successful and professional at work.

Bienvenidos Todos Provider Seminar Series
ECNV is hosting an online seminar series especially for service providers interested in providing culturally responsive services to Latinos with disabilities and their families.
Rosalia Fajardo, ECNV’s Director of Disability Equity and Strategic Partnership, will share her experiences from over 25 years serving the Latino disability community as the host for this series.

Second Story Health and Wellness Fair
On Thursday, January 23, 2025, ECNV partnered with Second Story to co-host a health and wellness fair. We had a great opportunity to serve and provide vaccines to the Latino Community residing in the Culmore area.

2025 ECNV Vaccination Events
With funding from USAging’s Aging and Disability Vaccination Collaborative and the Administration for Community Living (ACL), ECNV is organizing community vaccination events especially for seniors and people with disabilities.

Second Story Toy Distribution
On December 14, 2024, ECNV was part of the Second Story toys and food distribution at Oakview Apartments in Falls Church. More than 80 families received toys and food, we distributed free COVID-19 home tests and purple ECNV bags.

Bienvenidos Webinar
On Saturday, December 14, 2024, Bienvenidos Todos organizadora Jimena Barron made an outstanding presentation about Acceptance within the disability community.

Travel Training at the Arc of Loudoun
On Tuesday, November 26, 2024, Andrew Shaw spoke at the Arc of Loudoun about ECNV’s free Travel Training program to thirty individuals at an informational session about online safety, mental health, and recreation opportunities within Loudoun County.

Sterling Community Center Loudoun County
ECNV participated in community activities organized by different organizations with which we have worked throughout the year by serving underserved communities without health insurance by providing vaccines and COVID home tests.

Tendiendo Puentes: La Transición Esencial de la Escuela al Trabajo para Personas con Discapacidades
Navegar la transición de los entornos educativos al mundo laboral es un viaje crítico para los jóvenes adultos, pero presenta desafíos únicos para aquellos con discapacidades. Esta transición es crucial para la inclusión social y económica completa, requiriendo no solo la colocación laboral; se necesita una preparación integral y sistemas de apoyo establecidos. El papel de organizaciones como ECNV.org y recursos como los de The Arc of Northern Virginias o el Departamento de Educación de Virginia son fundamentales en el apoyo a este viaje.

Mason District Healthcare Town Hall
On Thursday, November 21, 2024, Bienvenidos Todos Organizadora, Jimena Barron, ENDependence Center for Northern Virginia (ECNV), in partnership with Walgreens, offered free flu vaccines at the Mason District Healthcare Town Hall, hosted by Supervisor Andres Jimenez in partnership with Fairfax Health Department.

Virginia Beach Special Education and Transition Workshop
On Thursday, November 21, 2024, Rosalia Fajardo traveled to Virginia beach to present to a group of Latino parents for a workshop on Special Education and Transition. This event was hosted by Bienvenidos Todos organizadora Ana Catellanos in partnership with Matias Hope Foundation /Executive Director Lesly Lancaster.

Rosalia Fajardo Receives Alfonso Garcia Robles Award
On Wednesday, November 20, 2024 Rosalia Fajardo ECNV Director of Disability Equity and Strategic Partnerships was the recipient of Alfonso Garcia Robles award.

2024 FCPS/CTS Moving on to Life in the Community Resource Fair
Carlos Marquez and Kevina Brown attended the 2024 FCPS/CTS Moving on to Life in the Community Resource Fair at Fairfax High School on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Over 200 families attended the event where various vendors from all over NOVA were able to share programming and services.

Health and Wellness Fair at Alfred Baptist Church
On Saturday, November 2, 2024 ECNV participated at the Health and Wellness Fair at Alfred Baptist Church in Alexandria. This was a great opportunity to serve and create partnerships with the African American community that congregates in this revered temple.
