Accessibility Tools to Help You Vote in November

2025 is a general election year in which Virginians elect the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, and all of the Virginia House of Delegates. 

If you are a US Citizen, aged 18 years or older, you can vote - regardless of disability. There are several tools to help persons with a disability make sure they are ready to vote on Election Day.  

• Candidates & Referendums: Learn more about the candidates running for office and what referendums, if any, are on the ballot.

• 2025 Disability Policy Forum for Virginia's Statewide Offices

• VA Department of Election Resources: How to Register Page, Polling Place Look-Up Tool, Accessible Voting

• The disAbility Law Center of Northern Virginia (dlCV) updated their Voting Rights page and now includes translations for Vietnamese, Arabic and Chinese. 

• The Arc also has resources to help you learn more about voting.  Articles are available in Plain Text (English and Spanish).  

• The Plain Language Policy Dashboard is a project of New Disabled South. The dashboard breaks down complex legislation into plain language, making it easier to understand and more accessible. 

• Become a Poll Worker.  

• Do you want to vote without having to leave your car? See the Virginia Board of Elections section on Curbside Voting.

• Request an Absentee Ballot.

• Early in–person voting started on September 17, 2025 and runs through November 1, 2025.  Please review the below lists for where you can vote in your respective county. 

• Alexandria County Residents

• Arlington County Residents

• Fairfax County Residents

• City of Fairfax Residents

• Falls Church Residents

• Loudoun County Residents

• Early Voting Office Locations: All general registrar offices offer early voting. Some localities may offer early voting in additional locations. 

• Important Dates

• Last Day to register to vote or update existing registration: Friday, October 24, 2025

• Deadline to apply for a ballot to be mailed to you: Friday, October 24, 2025. Your request must be received by your local voter registration office by 5:00 p.m.

• The last day of in-person early voting at your local voter registration office:  Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.
