ECNV is excited to announce our NEW Career & Workplace Peer Support Circle
A group of four multi-ethnic, disability group.
Navigating work, career changes, job searches and job loss can feel overwhelming—especially when you’re doing it on your own.
Join our Career & Workplace Peer Support Circle, a welcoming, judgment-free group led by two experienced volunteers who bring deep knowledge of workplace dynamics, career growth, and employment challenges.
Once a month, starting Wednesday April 15, ECNV peer facilitators will lead the group and provide a safe place to share, learn, and support one another through real-life experiences.
Whether you’re:
Exploring a career transition
Re-entering the workforce
Managing challenges on the job
Seeking clarity employment options, or
You simply want to connect with others
…this group is for you.
Our first session will be a meet & greet, introducing Wendy Doernberg and David Merkel, the Peer Support Circle Co-facilitators.
All attendees will come to share what day/time is going to work best for the group going forward, and you'll also have the opportunity to share your goals, hear others’ stories, and begin forming a supportive network rooted in encouragement and support.

About Our Facilitators
Wendy Doernberg is an attorney who has worked for various federal government agencies in the areas of labor and employment. She has a Juris Doctor from University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a Bachelor's of Arts from The George Washington University in Political Science. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she attended the Pittsburgh High School for the Creative and Performing Arts as a voice major. She enjoys traveling with her husband, and theatre-going and opera.
David Merkel is a consultant at Deloitte, specializing in operational transformation for federal clients. Prior to joining Deloitte, he worked in national security and earned his Juris Doctor from George Washington University Law School. He has led multiple privacy compliance training sessions at the Department of Homeland Security and served as a teaching assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he facilitated group discussions and supported student learning. A native of Denver, Colorado, David enjoys time spent with friends and family in Colorado and takes every opportunity to be in the mountains. David is excited to facilitate this group, help spark meaningful conversations about workplace opportunities and challenges, and provide guidance and mentorship to all participants at all levels.
